Allegheny County Strategies for Successful Aging

Have you heard that PBHAC is collaborating with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer Strategies for Successful Aging? This unique partnership offers a 3 hour training. It includes 3 different speakers who will discuss healthy living for your brain and body, neuroplasticity, and delayed cognitive decline, and lastly, the importance of brain healthy eating and ground breaking studies related to nutritional research. The entire program will encompass cognitive activity, physical health and exercise, diet and nutrition and social.

Target Audience: This training is for all who work with individuals with mental illness and difficult behaviors, such as mental health providers, care managers, case managers, nurses, social workers, counselors, acute care and long-term care staff, and substance abuse.
