Strategies for Successful Aging

Description: PBHAC is collaborating with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer this 3 hour training which will include information on “Healthy Living for your Brian and Body, and Tips from the Latest Research”. Neuroplasticity, delaying cognitive decline, and the importance of exercising mentally, along with a demo of Ageless Grace will be shared. The third hour will cover Brain Healthy Eating: a Critical Lifestyle Choice by CC Donelan, who is the Principal of Brain Health Partners in Concord, MA.

Learn about what ground breaking studies and nutrition research have revealed about how the way we eat and live each day can significantly affect the health of our brains. Additionally, learn how you can power up your brains today; no matter your age. The entire program will cover cognitive activity, physical health and exercise, diet and nutrition and social engagement.

Target Audience: This training is for all who work with individuals with mental illness and difficult behaviors, such as mental health providers, care managers, case managers, nurses, social workers, counselors, acute care and long-term care staff, and substance abuse.
